Briga Novarese: Gazzara takes it

One of the best finish lines in U23 cycling
In the past month, Michele Gazzara has taken two UCI wins for Mg.KVIS-Trevigiani but he took perhaps his finest win of his season as he unleashed a torrential smackdown on the climb up the Via San Colombano, which is more of a paved goat path than a road. Gazzara was apart of a move with 15 kilometers to go along with Aleksandr Vlasov. Getting a head start on the climb to the finish, Gazzara distanced Vlasov and had enough of a gap to celebrate the win ahead of 2nd place Pierpaolo Ficara.

You can watch the limited highlights above. U23 Jacopo Mosca (Viris Maserati) led home a trio of U23s and grabbed 3rd place ahead of Davide Gabburo (General Store) and Vlasov (Viris Maserati). Italian U23 Champion and SKY signing Gianni Moscon was not on his A-game and came home in 8th, 34 seconds in arrears.

The next big Italian event takes place on Monday with the GP Poggiana, which takes place in Riese Pio X in Treviso.
